Business incubator

The business incubator at the University of Economics, Prague was established with the support of the university management, the Chamber of Commerce of the capital city of Prague and other partners. The incubator allows for the support of students business activities and the implementation of their business ideas and intentions. Those subjects who will enter into the business incubator can take advantage of many favourable conditions. Applicants for the incubator admission must present a business plan prepared according to the given structure and if the applicant meets all the conditions he/she may be presented with a contract for signature. The subjects of the business incubator activities are the provision of suitable conditions for the development of projects, negotiation with business partners, support in accessing financing, media promotion for projects, coaching and mentoring.

Professional consultancy is implemented for the subjects either by the IDE employees or externally, via our partners. Besides the Chamber of Commerce of the capital city of Prague, other partners include the Legal Office Vyroubal – Krajhanzl – Školout & associates and the Sindat Group which includes companies from the fields of engineering, finance, real estate and IT services. Further leading partners include The English Language Institute, Prague which provides a comprehensive language consultancy service and the FINAPP Group which deals in finance and business activity management consultancy services. We are currently managing five business projects in the incubator of which one has already registered a new CZ patent.

Previous activities of the business incubator

• Research concerning corporation tax implemented in cooperation with AMSP CR.
• We have organized a questionnaire entitled “CHANCE”, which mapped out the students concept of the business environment in the CR.
